The TASLIMAGE Radon Dosimetry System
ISO-accredited in laboratories across Europe
The TASLIMAGE radon dosimetry system is a highly sophisticated radon analysis system. Systems have been sold worldwide and passed the ISO 17025 accreditation. TASLSA will be operating the exact system as operated by TASL UK.
The complete measurement system comprises:
- Fully automated high specification image analysis readout system with high throughput and unparallelled accuracy and low background. The system can read both our own proprietary format of detectors, and also the “Autoscan” style of detectors, including automatic ID reading
- Autofocus including live tracking of the plastic surface
- High sensitivity, low background TASTRAK PADC plastic elements, cut and scribed to customer requirements
- Stainless steel etch/scan holders which transfer between etching and scanning without the need to remount the detectors (see below)
- (Optional) Ready-to-use radon detectors in smart unobtrusive holder, housing TASTRAK PADC plastic
- All necessary software and work instructions
- Full etch processing facility and operator training available
- The TASLIMAGE radon dosimetry system is unique in that it analyses and characterises each individual track to produce a dose measurement. The algorithm discriminating an etched track from a background feature, whether it is a scratch, a hair etc., does this by using a large number of parameters relating to the characteristics of a track. The system is completely automatic, requiring only a button click, and will provide a dose measurement for each piece of plastic. The scan data is automatically converted to a dose measurement and the results are displayed in a record database.
